Let Me Show You, You.

I remember sitting in the back of a church service, newly born again, unsure of what was happening inside of me. The preacher’s message pierced my heart, and then it happened—I felt the tangible presence of God wrap around me like a jacket placed on my shoulders. In that moment, I didn’t just feel seen—I felt loved. God put His love on me, and I knew I was supposed to wear it. Not just for that moment, but for life. That’s when I became The Love Enthusiast.
Those days started my desire to expand; I was drawn to grow. I wanted change—real change. The people I surrounded myself with, the choices I made, the way I saw myself… everything needed to shift. What I didn’t know then was that the Holy Spirit was drawing me, convicting me—not to shame me, but to lovingly invite me into something better.
God’s love didn’t force me to change overnight. He loved me patiently. Yet His love was so compelling, so transformative, that change became inevitable.
I was compelled to come closer, to lean in, to draw from Him as my source, my Father, my healer.
And then He whispered something that wrecked me forever: "Come here, Son… Let Me Show You, You.”
Not how I saw myself. Not how people had labeled me. But how He saw me.
At that time, I had lost over 100 pounds—outwardly I was becoming unrecognizable. But inwardly, I still carried the residue of rejection, shame, insecurity. That’s what God wanted to heal. He wasn’t after a polished version of me. He wanted the whole me—so He could make me whole.
Why do we so often drag the pain of our past into the future God has already redeemed for us? Apostle Paul said it best: “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
God’s words over you outweigh anything people have said—or anything the enemy whispers.
You are not your past. You are not your pain. You are not your mistakes.
You are who God says you are.
So, what if you actually believed that?
What if today was the day you let Him show you… you?
I’d love to hear your thoughts. Have you had an encounter with God’s love that changed you? Are you in a season of inward transformation?
Let's talk. Email me, comment below, or share your story using #AskTheLoveEnthusiast.
Let’s grow in love—together.
